Dark Resurrection!! George Lucas? Nope, just a dentist!
Like usual, when I read some parts of the chapters that are related to technology, I become so interested that I have to find an article or a recent story connected to it. I was particularly affected by this sentence “While it may be easier than even for one person to develop, shoot, and edit a production on his or her own with low-end equipment, large scale productions require keeping up with the newest technologies” (Perren, A. pp. 158).
Well, is this really true? Can’t we keep up with technologies without having huge budgets?

This is a movie (the second one) made by my Italian dentist (no, I am not kidding) with a budget of $14000. It is completely inspired by the Star Wars saga and, since George Lucas holds the rights to this fantasy world, Dark Resurrection and its creator, Licata (the dentist), never made any profit or revenue.
I don’t agree with the sentence I quoted above. As for many other new technologies (such as the Internet), making movies is now something that everybody with time and passion can do. Today, it is possible to produce something professional even if we are not professional filmmakers and Disney or Paramount do not produce it. My dentist is only one of the many examples of people out there, capable of making something great without having anything to do with the “monster” Hollywood that still owns 90% of the production companies in the world (Randle, K. pp. 146).

This is a perfect example of how technology advances allow people make their dreams real.
20 years ago I worked with the very first machine capable of doing professional animation (very expensive machines, indeed). It seemed impossible that any dreamer could make the same kind of work in his living room. Today any PC users has several motor computing poet and tools that 20 years ago I could dream. That is democracy in media!
It’s going to be finish of mine day, except before end I am reading this great paragraph to increase my knowledge.
Hi, every time i used to check weblog posts here early in the morning, as i like to
gain knowledge of more and more.
